Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – BNY Mellon Wealth Management, Fiduciary Trust Company, Others

BNY Mellon Wealth Management Bryant will work with Fiduciary’s investment officers to assist clients with estate planning, wealth transfer and charitable giving strategies, as well as on Fiduciary’s estate settlement and family trust administration matters. She will report to Suma V Nair, chief fiduciary officer. Prior to joining Fiduciary, Bryant was a partner in the private client group at Nutter McClennen & Fish, where she began her legal career. She is active in the professional community, serves on the MCLE’s Estate Planning Curriculum Advisory Committee, and is a co-chair of the Estate Planning Committee of the Boston Bar Association’s Trusts and Estates Section. She is also a former chairperson for the Boston chapter of the International Association of Advisors in Philanthropy, and an incoming chairperson for Wondermore, a literacy-focused nonprofit that serves underserved schoolchildren in the Boston area. Collins will serve as a key client relationship manager, providing customized wealth management services to her clients and leveraging Fiduciary’s teams of experts. She will also join the Advisory Board at Fiduciary Trust Charitable, an independent donor-advised fund sponsor for which Fiduciary provides administrative services and is an investment manager. She previously advised high net worth clients as a director and philanthropic strategist in the Private Donor Group at Fidelity Charitable. Among other roles, Collins is a member of the advisory committee for the Work Force Program at the Cambridge Housing Authority and a member of the Board of Advisors at Community Servings. BNY Mellon Wealth Management has appointed two senior wealth managers, Justin Esposito and Chris Martinson, as it expands its Boston office.
They will manage portfolios and provide wealth management advice to ultra-high net worth clients, reporting to Christine Abramo, wealth management, team leader, the firm said.
Esposito, who has more than 15 years of experience in financial services, is joining BNY Mellon Wealth Management from the Bank of America Private Bank, where he served as a portfolio manager, vice president. Prior to that, he was a portfolio manager, vice president at U.S. Trust, the firm added. Esposito has also worked at Pershing, a BNY Mellon company, and Lenox Advisors.
Martinson is joining BNY Mellon Wealth Management from Citi, where he most recently worked as an ultra-high net worth investment counselor, and as an ultra-high net worth investment analyst.
Welcoming them to the firm, Abramo said: “Their expertise will be instrumental in supporting our Boston clients as they protect and grow their wealth through life transitions and liquidity events for family businesses as part of the delivery of our Active Wealth framework.”
BNY Mellon Wealth Management, which provides services to financially successful individuals and families, their family offices and business enterprises, had $305 billion in total client assets as of 31 March 2022.
Fiduciary Trust Company
Fiduciary Trust Company has appointed Aimee Bryant as vice president and trust counsel, and Katie Collins as VP and investment officer.
Fiduciary Trust International has appointed Julie Karnavas as regional managing director for the Pennsylvania market. She was previously director of portfolio and relationship management.
In her new role Karnavas will continue to work with clients as a senior portfolio manager actively involved with the investment team. Karnavas takes over as regional managing director from George McFarland, who will remain a senior portfolio manager and a member of the local management team in Radnor, the firm said.
Fiduciary Trust International expanded into the Pennsylvania region after completing its acquisition of Radnor-based wealth management firm Pennsylvania Trust Company in May 2020.
